Thankfully for all of us most cases of cerebral palsy are not genetic in origin so in case you have one child with problem the chances of second child having the same problem is very slim though we need to check with the genetic counselor whether there is any genetic cause, thankfully for us we have a very good geneticist in the team who is from SGPGI and works in close collaboration with us.
In addition if your previous pregnancy has been troublesome then we need to be cautious if there is any cause why the mother’s body is unable to support the child in which case the chances of these problems increase, we also have the services of many gynecological surgeons who have training in management of such high risk deliveries
